Participant Experience

Share the journey, together.

Participants share responsibility for the journey. They plan, decide, adapt, and lead together — around one shared Team device, guided by a Facilitator throughout.

A Team's expedition route winds through mountain terrain toward a distant objective.

Longreach participants join through a Facilitator-led session — there is no individual account to create. A Facilitator sets up the Team and the expedition; participants simply arrive and begin.

What a Team Experiences

Inside an expedition

Briefing, together

The Team gathers around a shared device and receives the mission briefing as a group — the same starting point for everyone.

The expedition map

A living map shows where the Team is, where they have been, and what lies ahead as the journey unfolds.

Changing conditions

Weather, terrain, and circumstances shift over the course of the expedition, keeping the Team reading the situation rather than following a script.

Resource constraints

What the Team outfits, carries, and spends shapes what options remain later — nothing is unlimited.

Team discussion

Decisions surface as a conversation, not a solo click. The Team weighs the options together before choosing.

Decisions and consequences

Each decision moves the expedition forward and can create consequences that surface immediately — or much later.

Role-based leadership

Different moments call for different Team members to lead, drawing on whatever expertise or perspective the situation calls for.

Reflection

After the expedition, the Facilitator guides the Team through what happened and why, connecting the experience to real leadership judgment.
